No other season can bring you that warm and active feeling like Summer.
It’s the time of the year where you can go out on a vacation with your friends and family. Maybe go to the Bahamas and swim through its crystal clear waters, go to Miami Beach and party like there’s no tomorrow or just stay at home and chill out with your friends.
You got the TV in the yard. Check.
Corona for your buddies to share. Check.
But what about the food? Your friends are probably sick and tired of eating burnt barbecue on your summer party.
So, here are some summer food ideas that will surely make your friends come back each summer.

Elote – Mexico
A country that experiences a fair share of warm weather definitely knows their summer food choice.
Also known as the Mexican Street Corn, this is food is easy to prepare and it’s really tasty.
Just grab a piece of corn, grill it with butter, add some mayonnaise, salt and chili powder. Serve!
Satay – Indonesia/South East Asia
This is the Indonesian version of the classic Kebob that we all know and love.
Satay is the national dish of Indonesia. No one will name a food their national dish if that doesn’t reach the palates of the masses.
It can be made with any kinds of meat. So, you got the reins on this one. You can choose pork, beef, chicken or veal. It all depends on your preference. You can even use Tofu if you’re a vegetarian.
Just cut the meat into tiny blocks, like the one you do when you make kebobs. Marinade the meat with some coriander, lemongrass, chilis, sugar, salt and heaps of turmeric. Let it sit for an hour or two then put the meat on sticks and grill it until cooked. Serve it with rice for some authentic Asian feel to it.
Ceviche – Peru/Latin America
This dish is very healthy when prepared properly.
Ceviche is very famous in the Latin American countries like Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Chile.
The main ingredient of this dish is raw fish. Yeah. Something like sashimi but it looks nothing like it.
To prepare this dish, first of all, you need to pick the right kind of fish.
You want a fish that’s fresh out of the sea. Traditionally, Peruvians use Sea Bass on this dish.
So, cut the fish into tiny blocks. Add some chili, lime, sliced onions and celery. Voila! You got yourself a Peruvian masterpiece.
Warning: Be picky when choosing your ingredients because raw meat is full of bacteria and parasites. The acidic marinade doesn’t necessarily remove all the bacteria in it.
